FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Sorority's capital investments over the past few years are beginning to pay off. These long-
term investments have assisted our move into the technological age and are helping the Sorority
save money in other areas. Our annual communication fee assists the national organization to be
able to acquire and utilize these new technologies to better serve our members.
Sigma Kappa has been able to find stability and growth in its investments with Morgan Stanley/
Smith Barney. Our new investment advisor acquired the portfolio right at the beginning of the
fiscal year and has made great strides forward. The investment policy of the sorority is one that
mandates safe and secure investments.

EXTENSION
With Sigma Kappa's new visual identity unveiled in July, the extension team spent a significant
amount of time revamping and updating their extension materials to reflect the new identity.
The team submitted extension materials to several Universities.
Sigma Kappa was invited to give two extension presentations and was selected to colonize at one
university. Sigma Kappa is excited to join the Greek community at Indiana University-Purdue
University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Fall 2011.

Those in attendance were able to take part in exceptional workshops led by Sorority volunteers, staff,
and special guests. Many were aimed at successfully building relationships within the sisterhood and
continuing those relationships into active alumnae years. The Sigma Kappa Foundation and the
National Housing Corporation also provided wonderful presentations for their respective areas.

NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS UPDATE
National Headquarters made a number of changes in key areas to move the national organization
forward. Some of these changes included:
An online chapter reporting site, Dove Hub, was implemented for all collegiate chapters. The
name "Dove Hub" was selected out of many submissions obtained through an online contest.
Dove Hub is able to provide the national organization a real-time snapshot of all collegiate
chapters for the first time in our history.
The national headquarters staff added the position of collegiate recruitment specialist. The
collegiate recruitment specialist will provide more focused attention to collegiate chapters in
their recruitment of new members.
The national organization joined the world of social media through Facebook and Twitter,
reaching out to members of all generations to share information, request feedback, and
provide immediate recognition for achievements, both large and small.
The finance team began offering online webinars to assist collegiate chapters in understanding
Accounting Manager and improving overall chapter financial health.
The field consultant (FC) program continued to draw a substantial number of applications.
This year, FCs kept journals of their travels and made them available through online blogs
hosted on the Sigma Kappa website.
The Sigma Kappa Triangle began to be distributed online, allowing the Sorority and our
members to "go green".
