things of our life, our Sorority will have done a great and beautiful thing for us."

MAINE SEACOAST MISSION SERVICE IMMERSION TRIP
Made possible by the Sigma Kappa Foundation, we are excited to announce that we are piloting a
Service Immersion Program in June 2023! Sigma Kappa's oldest philanthropy, the Maine Seacoast
Mission, will host 14 collegiate and alumnae participants June 11-17 for a transformational
philanthropic experience focusing on serving the community through the Mission's main causes.
Participants will get the chance to be immersed within the Cherryfield, Maine, community by
working in the food pantry, participating in restoring and refreshing the Christmas Program's Elves'
Workshop, making community trails usable again by cleaning up debris and trash, and
contributing to the restoration of local homes. Participants can also expect a visit to Colby College
in Waterville to explore the history of Sigma Kappa's founding, including a tour of campus to visit
sites significant to Sigma Kappa, as well as exploring downtown Bar Harbor.
The Sigma Kappa Foundation will cover participants' airfare, lodging, and meals while on-site. The
deadline for submissions is March 12 - apply here.

SIGMA KAPPA FIGHTS FOR A WORLD WITHOUT ALZHEIMER'S
Once again, Sigma Kappa has earned the Diamond Level National Team status with Walk to End
Alzheimer's by raising more than $1.4 million. In fall 2022, 10,446 walkers registered to
participate on one of Sigma Kappa's 205 collegiate and alumnae teams. Congratulations to Sigma
Kappas on your fierce drive to live in a world without Alzheimer's.
In addition, during the fall of 2022, collegiate chapters also raised more than $49,000 for the
Sigma Kappa Foundation's Alzheimer's disease research fund, supporting clinical trials and
research like the U.S. POINTER Study.
