MAKE PLANS FOR WEEK OF GIVING!
Sigma Kappa invites our members to celebrate our history of sisterhood and service to others
leading up to Founders' Day on Nov. 9. Kick off the week by participating in the Week of Giving
Celebration event hosted by all three Sigma Kappa board presidents on Monday, Nov. 7, from
8-9 p.m. ET. This event will showcase a refreshed Founders' Day ceremony and give you a sneak
peek at some of the ways you can celebrate Sigma Kappa's 150th anniversary now through
Founders' Day 2024. Register here!

2022-2023 DEIA COMMITTEE APPLICATION OPEN
The DEIA committee is responsible for supporting national council and boards by identifying
resources and upcoming trends, recommending topics for national council to appoint special
groups, and creating the charges for the special groups. A committee member will work with the
director of strategic priorities to publicize the special groups, review the applications and serve in
the chair capacity of the special group(s). Click here for the application - the deadline is
Wednesday, Nov. 9 at midnight EST.
CAREERHOUSE IS BACK!
For the last two years, Sigma Kappa has partnered with Careerhouse to help members focus on
their career. Members learn pivotal pieces needed for resume and interview preparation while
connecting with other sisters going through the same experiences.
Careerhouse will return in 2023 for a Live Summit in February and the best part is you'll have
access to career videos and worksheets ALL YEAR! Registration opens in November and is
completely FREE thanks to donations to the Sigma Kappa Foundation.

SIGMA KAPPA ANNUAL REPORT
We are pleased to present the 2021-2022 Annual Report, which details the accomplishments of
the organization over the past fiscal year. Thank you for playing your part in ensuring Sigma
Kappa remains successful now and in the future.
RECRUITMENT INTRODUCTION FORM SURVEY
Even though it feels like the new school year just started, we are already looking ahead to 2023-
2024. NHQ is evaluating Sigma Kappa's current recruitment procedures and need your input!

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE SOON
Sigma Kappa Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to benefit both undergraduate and
graduate students for the 2023-24 academic year. The application will be open Dec. 1, 2022-
Feb. 9, 2023. Click here to learn more about available scholarships and for the application link
once it is live. We are so excited to share that for the 2022-23 academic year, 92 of our members
were awarded scholarships totaling $136,620.
A WORLD WITHOUT ALZHEIMER'S
Sigma Kappas have a never-ending desire to live in a world without Alzheimer's. As of Oct. 24, our
200+ Walk teams, comprised of nearly 10,000 walkers, have raised more than $1.15 million.
And the season is not over yet! Congratulations on once again earning the distinction of a
Diamond level National Team.

will have a fresh look and feel and be much more interactive. Please watch your emails and social

VOLUNTEER WITH SIGMA KAPPA
LOCAL ADVISORS NEEDED
Sigma Kappa alumnae - we are looking for volunteers to support collegiate officers in 2023 and
beyond. We have roles of every size and time commitment, both remote and local. Onboarding
and continuous training is available to help you succeed. Click here to fill out the advisory board
volunteer interest form.
SIGMA KAPPA FOUNDATION OPPORTUNITIES
The Sigma Kappa Foundation has three engaging ways for alumnae members to volunteer.
Training is provided for all volunteers.
Collegiate Philanthropy Coordinator (CPC, 7 positions) - The CPC supports the
philanthropic efforts of assigned collegiate chapters, typically 3-5. CPCs support the chapters'
VPPS and advisor by answering questions about all things fundraising (funds, submitting funds,
CrowdChange), the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Foundation annual awards and other Foundation
initiatives. 5 hours/month. Click here to read the job design. Contact Teresa John to express

Development Committee (1-2 positions) - Helps foster a culture of philanthropy throughout
the organization, and ensure that all donors of time and money are respected and honored. Works
closely with staff in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift donors

hours/quarter, primarily quarterly meetings.
Finance Committee (1-2 positions) - Monitor and manage all investments of the Foundation,
especially the investment performance reports from the investment firms utilized by the
Foundation on a quarterly basis. Members with experience in accounting, investments or nonprofit
finance preferred. 5-10 hours/quarter, primarily quarterly meetings. Click here to read the job
