"We tread our paths so easily, Now worn quite smooth by other feet, We scarce will deign to look
upon The rougher paths, which may ours meet. So we forget that our smooth way Was once as
rough and hard as these; That many traveled painfully, That we might travel on in lease."
- Grace Foster, Alpha, Colby College

SUPPORT CAREGIVERS ON THE LONGEST DAY
Thursday, June 21 is the longest day of the year. It's also
the day the Alzheimer's Association honors the hard work
and sacrifice of caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's
disease or other dementias. The Longest Day is a day to
select an activity you love - or an activity loved by someone
with Alzheimer's disease - and raise funds to support
Alzheimer's disease research and caregivers. Learn more

ADVOCATING FOR THE SORORITY EXPERIENCE
In April, several collegiate and alumnae members of Sigma
Kappa hit Capitol Hill to participate in the
Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC)
Congressional Visits. The focus of the visits this year
was the value of fraternities and sororities; protections for
students to freely associate in single-sex organizations; and
support of the anti-hazing REACH Act. Our members met
with legislators to share their personal stories of the value
of sororities and advocate for the preservation of the
sorority experience. We are proud to be part of the
movement to fight hazing, defend our members' rights to
free association, and protect spaces that allow women to
support, encourage and advocate for each other.
